You arrive in Siem Reap, ready to continue your adventure. Upon arrival, you transfer easily from the airport to your first-class hotel, your home for the next three nights.
Today you visit the fascinating holy buildings of Angkor, which include Angkor Wat, the largest temple complex in the world; Angkor Thom, the final capital of the Khmer Empire; and the enchanting, forest temple of Ta Prohm. (B)
You start your day with a visit to the elaborate 10th-century Banteay Srei temple, or the Citadel of Women, known for its red sandstone. Later you continue to the archaeological site Kbal Spean, where the river’s clear waters flow over numerous ornate stone carvings, called Lingas, in the riverbed. (B)
Before noon you take a scenic trip to the Beng Mealea temple, located on Cambodia’s ancient royal highway. It has drawn the attention of UNSECO as a potential World Heritage Site and has only just recently been open to the public. In the evening, you head to the airport via private transfer for your return home.
